Lions are known as the “kings of the grassland”, as they are superior predators and always terrify their prey every time they are confronted.
However, hunting is not always easy for lions. In a video filmed in the Masai Mara National Reserve (Kenya), it can be seen how difficult it was for the lions to chase and try to take down a wild buffalo.
In the video, the lions approach the buffalo from behind, trying to use their numbers to surround and make the buffalo panic, then run away.
But even when grabbed by at least 3 lions, the wild buffalo still showed incredible strength and will. It used its strong horns to toss the nearest lioness into the air, then spun it around several times.
Because he was so surprised by the wild buffalo’s confidence, the lion was almost unable to resist, and had no choice but to suffer consecutive hooks and knocks from the powerful enemy.
Stunned by the attack, the lions had to temporarily let go of their prey and step back. Meanwhile, the attacked lion revealed serious wounds in the middle of its abdomen and hind thighs.
Most likely, it will not survive this injury.
