The greedy hyena attacked the leopard in an attempt to steal its prey, but was pulled up by the leopard and suspended from a tree

In the wild, leopards and hyenas often collide because they share the same territory, as well as the same food source.

With their greedy and reckless nature, hyenas are often the more courageous in confrontations, but leopards possess their own strengths, such as strength, as well as the ability to climb.

In a video filmed in the Masai Mara National Reserve (South Africa), it can be seen that the hand-to-hand fight between these two animals over prey is extremely fierce.

The leopard seemed to have the advantage, carrying the carcass of an antelope up a tree. However, the hyena did not give up. Although unable to climb, hyenas are very mischievous when they find a way to jump up and grab the legs of their prey.

At this time, the battle to steal food between the two predators began to become dramatic. No animal would let go of the dead antelope, and used every means to pull it towards itself.

Leopards are so strong that they can pull the entire body of their prey and at the same time lift hyenas off the ground. But these efforts are not enough to win, because the hyenas are too stubborn.

After a brief struggle, the antelope’s body was eventually torn into two halves, and divided equally between both. However, for the leopard, this was no different than a failure as it lost part of its meal even though it had reached a safe location.
