Lion Struggled & Begged To Escape Punishment Of Thousands Of Crazy Buffaloes

Accordingly, the travel company Shenton Safaris happened to witness and record the fierce confrontation between a herd of wild buffalo up to more than 500 heads with a herd of hungry lions in South Luangwa National Park in Zambia.

Looking at this interesting video, it can be seen that the buffaloes are running fast down the slope causing the dust to fly and they may have come to the river near the puzzle to drink water.

However, something unexpected happened. The herd of more than 500 buffaloes was forced to pause their journey when they encountered the lions of Mwamba-Kaingo.

After the dust settled, the two sides began to look at each other very warily. At first, there were also some buffaloes who tried to move forward threateningly but then backed away.

In fact, lions rarely hunt alone because of their large size.
The surprising result was that the lions finally gave up and left, while the hundreds of buffaloes continued their journey to the river in search of water.

The clip was recorded by guide Deon Kelbrick at Sabi Sands nature reserve, South Africa.

Specifically, early in the morning, Deon Kelbrick and the tourists set out to look for lions. After leaving the farm, they tried to track down the lions in the Nkuhuma herd and discovered they were following a large herd of buffalo.

After choosing their prey, they quickly used their sharp claws and teeth to corner a large wild buffalo. Kelbrick and the tour group thought it was over. However, the other members of the group heard the pitiful cries of their fellows. Immediately, hundreds of buffaloes rushed forward, surrounding the male lion Dark Maned Avoca.

Having been injured before, he could not escape, so the lion was trapped in the middle of the agitated buffalo herd. Terrified, the male lion ran to the nearby bushes for shelter. However, the herd of wild buffalo is not easy to ignore for it. They took turns using their sharp horns to hurl the lion into the air and trample it with their hooves,

The incident took place within 15 minutes. Then, the cry of Dark Mane Avoca caught the attention of the lions and turned to chase away the buffalo. Kelbrick said, when he returned at the end of the day, Dark Mane Avoca was still with the Nkuhuma herd but was seriously injured.
