This remarkable scene was captured on camera by Mr. Brian Abrahamson, 62, during a trip to Kruger National Park, South Africa.

According to Mr. Brian Abrahamson, the chameleon fought back fiercely when attacked by the snake. Quick and agile, the chameleon bit the snake’s lower abdomen and even changed its color from lemon yellow to dark green, perhaps to confuse its attacker.

The drama reached its peak when the snake paused its attack after sensing the presence of an eagle overhead. The snake immediately became cautious, fearing it might become prey itself. But as soon as the eagle flew away, the snake delivered a fatal blow, biting the chameleon directly.

However, the story did not end there. The eagle returned and perched on a nearby tree. Sensing the danger, the snake quickly disappeared into the grass, leaving the dead chameleon hanging on the tree.
