This shocking scene was recorded by tourists in Etosha National Park, Namibia.
At the beginning of the clip, the adult male zebra is trying to drown the baby zebra in an extremely terrible way. It used its mouth to grab the poor animal’s hind leg and then used its whole body to dunk the foal into the water.
Luckily, the water was quite shallow so the baby zebra still survived. Right after that, the mother zebra appeared, she tried to rush in to nudge the male zebra away, and at the same time help her baby escape.
However, that cold-blooded person still refused to give up. It tried to chase the pony and used its strength to knock the animal to the ground again. Luckily, the foal struggled to escape with help from the mother zebra and some nearby companions. After the miraculous escape, it was also quite painful with many injuries caused by the male tit.
It is known that male zebras often kill the offspring of other males to assert their status in the herd and ensure they have no new competitors in the future. Killing foals also makes female zebras more likely to become potential mates.
