The video captures the encounter between a buffalo mother and a large elephant in Kruger National Park, South Africa. In the video, the giant elephant that looks very scary is scared and confused by the chasing calf. Meanwhile, the mother buffalo also ran right behind as if worried that the calf would be in serious trouble when it collided with the “giant” of the steppe.
But paradoxically, when seeing the calf rushing, the elephant, which can weigh up to 6,000 kg, recoils before turning its head like an arrow to shoot in the opposite direction.
The elephant can easily injure the mother and the buffalo but it seems to realize that the newborn calf is immature and cannot harm it.
The encounter ends with the elephant fleeing into the bushes, while the buffalo mother and daughter also run away in the other direction.
