The wildebeest’s life became extremely dangerous when it faced a jaguar in the savannah near the Masai Mara River, Kenya. But instead of running away, the antelope bravely decided to fight against the predator.
The rare confrontation between predator and prey was captured by photographer Vadim Onishchenko, 40. “While exploring the reserve, we suddenly saw a jaguar chasing a wildebeest. The jaguar was not able to take down the prey and the two sides started stalking each other,” Onishchenko said.
The 40-year-old photographer was surprised to see the antelope become so brave and rush to attack the jaguar. At that time, the hunter was hunted again. After being chased away by the antelope, the jaguar still seems to regret its missed meal.
