being robbed by hyenas too many times, leopards get mad and decide to keep their prey

Leopards usually avoid confrontations with hyenas, but in some cases, they will do anything to get their prey. A clip recorded in the Masai Mara Wildlife Reserve (Kenya) shows a rare scene, when a leopard actively rushes to snatch prey from a hyena.

The clip begins with a leopard on one side, a hyena on the other, caught up in a fight for survival, with the reward of a dead antelope. It can be seen that although the size of the leopard is smaller, it still actively rushes in, distracting the enemy from its prey.

Even so, the leopard’s initiative is not enough to threaten the particularly large, and equally tenacious hyena. If bitten by a hyena, leopards are likely to be seriously injured or even killed.

Fortunately, the leopard quickly understood that it could not defeat the enemy “mainstream”, so it immediately devised a more likely plan.

Instead of trying to take down the hyena, tell the enemy to move away from the prey, and continue to attract its attention, to create opportunities for teammates. Understanding this intention, a cheetah and the pack quickly sneaked behind and snatched the prey left behind, as well as ending their successful hunt.
