The video was recorded by tour guide Cliff Butlin at Mjejane Reserve, South Africa. The lion’s sudden attack caused the adult buffalo to flee and abandon the young buffalo.
Without the mother buffalo by her side, the young buffalo was very frightened and cried out for help. But it didn’t know it was putting it in danger.
The cries of the calves drew attention to the nearby lions, and after a few seconds, a lion rushed and defeated the prey very quickly.
In the end, the young buffalo quickly became a meal for the hungry lions.
