The wildebeest is a genus of antelope, the Connochaetes. They belong to the family Bovidae, order Artiodactyla, which includes antelope, buffalo, cow, goat, sheep and other horned ungulates. They are herbivores, often living in herds on the large African savannah, relatively gentle, shy.
