Discovering a group of lion cubs in the bushes, the male leopard rushed in to catch one, carried it to the top of a tree and ate it.

This rare sight was recorded by visitor Scott Hyman in Ruaha National Park, Tanzania.

In the clip, an adult male leopard is wandering in the grassland when it suddenly stops. Immediately afterwards, the animal rushed into the dense bushes and came out with a small lion in its mouth.

The adult leopard weighs more than 70kg and the lion is only about 3 weeks old. The retriever then climbed a tree and began eating its prey.

Leopards (Panthera pardus) live in Africa and Asia. They are known for their good climbing ability and often rest on tree branches during the day.

Leopards live alone in their territory. Adult individuals only bond during mating season. The female continues to live with her young even after weaning. In many of their African habitats, leopards must compete for food and shelter with other large predators such as tigers, lions, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, striped hyenas, and hyenas. brown…

Meanwhile, African lions (Panthera leo) live in groups. Females are the main hunters and males are responsible for protecting the territory.

Although they are related, these two big cats have never gotten along. Both are predators and live in Africa, so lions and leopards can hardly avoid clashes. Even when given the opportunity, leopards are ready to kill lion cubs.
