The herd of more than 500 wild buffaloes rushes straight to the lions to attack, making the predators stand still and watch

Tourists happened to witness and record the fiery confrontation between wild buffalo herds of more than 500 heads and a herd of hungry lions in South Luangwa National Park in Zambia.

Looking at this interesting video, it can be seen that the buffaloes are running fast down the slope causing the dust to fly and they may have come to the river near the puzzle to drink water.

However, something unexpected happened. The herd of more than 500 buffaloes was forced to pause their journey when they encountered the Mwamba-Kaingo lions.

After the dust settled, the two sides began to look at each other very warily. At first, there were also some buffaloes who tried to move forward threateningly but then backed away.

The unexpected result was that the lions finally gave up and left, while the herd of hundreds of buffaloes continued their journey to the river in search of water.

Lions often work together as a group to hunt wild buffalo. However, wild buffalo in Africa also move in large herds, usually up to 350 in self-defense.

Another unique defense of wild buffalo is lack of sleep. They only nap for a few minutes before waking up so they can spot a potential threat in time.

A video of the dramatic battle between a herd of more than 500 buffalo and a herd of lions was shared on Youtube and quickly attracted a lot of attention.
