According to Mirror, local people discovered the python more than 6m long with an unusually large belly, lying motionless in the village of Baliavad near the Gir wildlife reserve in the state of Gujarat, India. The size of the antelope was too large for the body of the python. After eating its “super” meal, the python could barely move because of the large size of the prey in its belly. It tried to spit out its prey but failed and quickly died of choking.
This fascinating natural sight has attracted much attention from the villagers. According to Mr. Sunil Kumar, 28, who witnessed the whole incident, said: “I saw the python lying on the side of the road. It was struggling to digest the animal it just swallowed. It was one of the great moments. the most I’ve ever seen because the python was incredibly large.”
The incident quickly received the attention of animal protection experts. According to Mr. R Senthilkumaran, deputy director of the Forestry Authority in Gujarat, said: “Forest rangers arrived at the scene immediately after receiving the notification and concluded that the python died from software injuries caused by the attempt. swallow antelope”.
According to animal experts, pythons often swallow their prey and take a few days or even weeks to digest all of the food. They often hunt prey many times their size and do not have to hunt for several months.
