In Kruger National Park, South Africa, a single lioness attacked a large, strong buffalo. This is a rare occurrence because lions usually only hunt in packs. Attacking buffalo alone would be very risky and laborious.

However, this lion does not even wait until the prey is completely dead, but wants to ‘eat and swallow’ the victim. While carrying out this intention, a wild buffalo came back to save its fellows, behind it were many other buffaloes.

This time, the lions had to run away because the number was too different. It was thought that this would help the injured buffalo to survive, but the wound was so severe that it could not stand up. The lion finally ate the buffalo.
