The Mara River (Tanzania, Narok, Kenya) is considered a river of death for ungulates. Along with fast currents ready to wash away any careless animals, this place is also the active ground of notorious predators such as lions, leopards, hyenas and especially the murky water death- crocodile.

Because the river is located on the migratory route of ungulates in the Serengeti/Maasai Mara animal sanctuary, every day one unfortunate animal is separated from its herd and fed to violent crocodiles.

A wildebeest was abandoned by a fellow because it was attacked by a crocodile.

The struggle failed, the tired antelope decided to give up. The crocodile slowly drags its prey into the brown water to eat it.

At this moment, the antelope suddenly became strangely energetic, thrashed around and finally escaped from the giant crocodile’s jaws.

The poor animal used all its strength to wade to the shore, right behind the crocodile that was following.

In the end, luck also belonged to the antelope, it managed to find ashore and run for life with 3 healthy legs. Even though it lost a leg today, it still managed to keep its life.
