While loitering in the Greater Mabula Private Animal Sanctuary, South Africa, Etienne captured a rare sight. It was a hyena chase aimed at the Aardvark piggy bank.
Etienne’s team began searching for the Aardvark when they heard it appeared. Suddenly, while filming the Aardvark, Andrew, the tour guide, discovered a brown hyena also approaching this area. The hungry hyena then identified the boar as its prey and began to pursue it.
At first, we just thought that the hyena was hunting something like an antelope or hare. It wasn’t until the hyena started to pick up speed that we knew it was aiming for the Aardvark piggy bank. Even in our dreams, we could not have imagined that the Aardvark piggy bank could run so fast.
The chase lasted for about 30 seconds, thinking that the piggy bank would become food for hyenas, suddenly the piggy Aardvark had entered a previously dug cave.
The hyena went crazy when it let the delicious food escape right in front of its nose, it angrily digs around the cave but to no avail. After that, the hyena was helpless to leave.
