In the brief video below, a crocodile makes a grave error by attempting to attack a newborn elephant calf.
Concealed in the water, the crocodile spots the mother elephant drinking nearby. It quietly lunges to attack the calf, but the vigilant mother quickly intervenes to defend her young.
Furious, the mother elephant repeatedly stomps on the crocodile with her massive feet. Weighing up to 5 tons, her powerful stomps inflict severe pain on the predator.
Not stopping there, she then uses her sharp tusks to stab the crocodile until it ceases to move.
After a prolonged assault on the crocodile, the mother elephant finally leads her calf away and rejoins the herd. The crocodile, however, succumbs to the deadly blows inflicted by the enraged elephant.
