The video above was caught by photographer Edward Selfe and filmed at South Luangwa National Park in Zambia.

Edward himself also said that, although he has lived in Zambia for 10 years, he has never seen or heard of a leopard killing an African crocodile.

Although leopards and crocodiles are mortal enemies, in reality, it is rare for people to fully capture the moment they fight each other.

And especially when leopards “handle” their meals because they are always cautious, alert to pull their prey to a safe place, away from opportunistic species such as wild dogs or hyenas before enjoying. A safe place for them is usually tall, sturdy branches, completely out of reach for the leopard’s predators.

That is why it is rare for a photographer to capture such “wild” images. In addition, the fact that leopards kill and eat crocodiles is often mentioned in South America or India, but in Africa this is much rarer.

Edward also said that it was around September, at this time water in Africa was very scarce and the leopard was looking for a source of refreshment near the river. Accidentally caught a crocodile about 2m long there, and without hesitation, it attacked its prey in the blink of an eye with a direct bite on the back of the neck.
