Across the grasslands of Africa, the lion is known to be one of the most feared predators. With their superior strength and herd hunting habits, they are capable of killing large prey such as wildebeest, zebra, buffalo and even elephants.

During this time, nature gave the lions many opportunities to hunt, but was cruel to the baby elephant. A 5-year-old baby elephant is disoriented and her herd can’t hear the cry for help.

Although it has tusks, it is too young to help the elephant fight the lion. The lioness knocks her 2-ton prey to the ground and holds it tight.

Despite being adept buffalo hunters, these lionesses are still inexperienced in killing an elephant. Therefore, they have difficulty in biting through the elephant’s nearly 4cm thick skin.

In addition, the elephant’s neck was too large to be bitten. After that, the lions had to bite the other, vulnerable parts of the elephant and the trunk was the best option.

The first taste of fresh meat after nearly a month of hunger restored the lions’ vitality and they tried to eat as much as they could.
