A rare scene has been recorded in Kruger National Park (South Africa), when a leopard plays the role of “bad guy” and steals a meal right in front of a pack of ferocious wild dogs. The video begins with a pack of wild dogs with at least 9 members having just defeated an adult Impala, and begins to rush into the prey to eat.

However, when the whole pack was engrossed in enjoying, suddenly a jaguar ran up from nowhere, causing the wild dogs to immediately run away in panic. Before they could reorganize their formation, the jaguar quickly grabbed the antelope carcass and climbed straight up a big tree next to the road to the surprise of the dogs.

Once it has balanced its prey on the treetops, the mischievous jaguar is free to safely enjoy its spoils without worrying about being watched by other predators.

The video above is proof that the leopard is not only a symbol of speed when hunting, but also extremely smart and cunning in protecting its food.

In fact, the leopard is not a “warrior” in the animal world.

This is shown by its light weight, relatively weak jaw muscles, making it easy for leopards to be defeated by a lion, hyena, or even an organized pack of wild dogs.

To face this reality, leopards need ingenuity when they can easily climb up trees, thereby preserving their lives, as well as storing their prey to eat gradually.

This is a way of adapting to natural life, and is also evidence of the ingenuity and cunning of cheetahs.
